In 1983, when Art Guevara was a teenager,
his parents moved their family from Texas to Florida to harvest
strawberries in Plant City. It was a demanding job, but the Guevaras
were accustomed to hard work. After two years, Art left the fields
to build a better life for his family and community. He entered the
construction business and began framing houses.
While in the business, he not only built homes, he built a
reputation as a skilled craftsman. Several years later, he started
MM&A Construction and hired his first employees, many of them family
members. As a devoted father, he named the company after his three
children.
Today, MM&A has grown from a family business to a corporation with
nearly 250 employees. The Guevaras are grateful to the Lord for
being able to be part of the American dream come true.
MM&A is the contractor of choice for many Central Florida builders,
including Taub Development Company, Windward Homes, Centex Homes,
David Weekley Homes and Mercedes Homes.
As the company continues to grow, hard work, honesty and
accountability will remain the core values at MM&A
Construction. These values will provide the foundation of
our success–and yours - for many years to come.
